Q – Who wrote to Thessalonians

Q.  From whom (three people) are both letters to the Thessalonians?

A.  “Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.”              1 Thes 1:1

“Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:”                   2 Thes 1:1

Silvanus is another name for Silas, who was with Paul when he went to Thessalonica (Acts 17:1-4).  Timothy had joined them when they passed through Lystra (16:1-3).
